Someone told us to try their chef salad because Skaets has the best salad in town. So we ordered to-go and they were very good. They are your basic iceberg lettuce with tomatoes, eggs, onions, cheese and meat. I would definitely recommend going here if you want a salad that isn’t overpriced or filled with different kinds of lettuce. We also ordered a chicken fried steak meal and a short stack of hot cakes. All very good!

Food was amazing! Service was even better! Our drinks never got half drunk before we were asked if we wanted refills. Here in KCK, that's rare. We usually have to hunt down a server for a refill. My daughter said she wants to move to Hutchinson because the people are so much nicer there. Skaet's was recommended by a Facebook group when I was planning our trip, and they did not disappoint.

Eat like a local! This iconic restaurant is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Try their pancake recipe that is unchanged since the 1960's. If you are there during lunch or dinner then the Moon Burger should be on your list. Say hello to the proprietors, Karen or Donna, while you are there.

Step back in time- great food( we had chicken fried steak/eggs and biscuits and gravy....fantastic. Our service was great even though they were packed.. great coffee, constantly refilled... price reasonable.

Food was good, the phone kept ringing very loudly. Definitely a good home cooking kind of place. Not a steak place like we assumed. Definitely a nice variety of delicious foods :-)

Used to work here in Hutchinson for years. Always seen Skaets but never ate here. Came back to see family and met them here for breakfast. Now I am disappointed that I did not eat here earlier. The food was so good and the chicken fry was excellent, and the pancakes were really good. I’m not one to just crave pancakes but, I almost got a second order of them. I heard the moon burger is awesome! My brother in law said he has had almost every thing in the menu and has never been disappointed. Go check this place out, you will not be disappointed

Love going to these Ma & Pa places. When you walk in this place has that small town feel like "welcome, glad you're here take a seat and will be right with you". Well they didn't disappoint us great service, great food, great time.

What a great Mom & Pop shop! Everything was fantastic. I loved the small cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent and the quality and quantity were a good value. If we ever make it back to Hutchinson again, this is definite stop to eat place!
